My school district suggested typing quotes from a text into an AI search bar to ask it for similar quotes from other writers. Then students can draw comparisons, blah, blah. But this is a terrible suggestion for copyright issues, right?

My 8th Graders read an online article about medical experimentation on Indigenous children in boarding schools and then made connections to "Lens" by Andrea Rogers..Looking at history helped us answer questions we had about the story at first. @andrealrogers.bsky.social

Feeling the need to take pictures of my teacher joy lately, instead of focusing only on challenges. I also love my outfits, even if an 8th grader told me today that it looks like my 3-year-old picks them out. 😆

Most teachers don’t want a guide on how to force flawed emerging technologies on their students.

They want a guide on how to support students in thinking critically about the tech developing around us and its impact on our world.

My Facebook feed gave me a recap of eight years ago and how I reacted to the election then. While depressed then and now about the outcome (obviously), I can say that looking at my initial response shows me how I have grown. I had posted some nonsense about not leaving the country after all...
