Happy heavenly Birthday to my husband Dave Kane - scientist, rugby player/referee in Ottawa and Toronto, masterful cook and lover of British humour. He left us in 2011, at just 66. He would be 81 today.

This is devastating news that will take a long time to process. A few names come to mind as giants we've lost in the disability community - Judy Heumann, Jim Derksen, Ing Wong-Ward - and so many more. Alice is now among them.
