Holy cow, folks.

Archive link to a paywall read, but it’s an astounding op-ed with an outside perspective on American Olympians & the crisis of confidence in representing the “American brand” on the world stage.

This does NOT mince words. Wow. From the searing Jake Paul lede to the end: Oof.

I always poopoo the Olympics, but when I see the art, I end up shedding a tear and wanting to watch. It's a Canada thing.

This is beautiful. Ben West lost his brother to suicide years ago.

He decided to make a website called "Reasons to Stay" in hopes of preventing others dying the same way.

Countless strangers wrote "Reasons to Stay" letters for those in need to read.

Today, someone told Ben it worked. They stayed.
Reasons to Stay - Mental Health

We’ve lost the extraordinary Catherine O’Hara. I’m in shock. 71 is far too young.

Rest in peace.

I also cried - in sorrow, in frustration and in anger. What a horrific disintegration of the United States.

Heartbroken and so very angry and despairing. I worked in Silicon Valley for several years and loved my time there. I still have friends there who I cherish. I can’t fathom what the hell is happening anymore.

@charlieangus104.bsky.social More than 40,000 members of Canadian Armed Forces served, 158 CAD soldiers died in Afghanistan mission plus 7 by U.S. 'friendly fire'. Thousands of veterans of war were wounded physically, psychologically, leading to additional deaths by suicide.

Canada sent so many dedicated young people into the hellfire of Kandahar to help the United States.
Now they ridicule us.

Despite all the terrible stupidity between our countries now, I love that the tradition continues of sending a tree to Boston every year.

The 1917 blast killed 2,000 people. The shrapnel from the blast blinded so many survivors that it was the impetus for starting the CNIB.

This is a general note for all of us who make starter/booster packs, on the one hand, and for people who follow us on the other that might be affected by our packs.

Make sure no one is in a list that doesn’t want to be there. There are solid reasons why some people might not want the exposure.

I remember when the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts opened in 1971. I've watched countless Kennedy Center Honors galas over the years.

It will always be the Kennedy Center to me.
