Also, as my district keeps publicly hounding teachers taking their contractual sick time, it really lowers morale and makes me perversely more ok with taking time off. At a PD they called out all of the (mostly male) teachers who had perfect attendance. What is that about?

Maybe also a shift in how people perceive their value. Meaning there is less compelling reason to force myself to go to work when sick once I realized, during the pandemic, that the public was fine with me sacrificing myself?

This is such a good practice. I usually do one think aloud writing on each FRQ in the fall. And I write a different essay for each class. It's humbling!

And to add…. Watching the show does make me want to have really nice knives but no crudités. Like I don’t want to hang out with Meghan but I do want her to live her very best beige life.
