I personally think the entire "West" has a responsibility to recognze that almost all current Jewish residents of Israel were encouraged to believe it was fine for them to move there, that the world would guarantee their safety, and it true some can legitmately claim they or their parents were>

It's not a human right. Legal rights come and go, and are subject to tests of morality and legitimacy, and even workability, and the claim there is a special right for people calling themselves Jews or named by others to be Jews to live in Palestine fails all those tests.
