Where's the @democraticparty.bsky.social ads tying GOP to the Confederacy? Non-POC will have the most presence @ No King rallies; what's the post-rally CTA? Does it include blackouts and job walkouts/callouts? Jamal Bryant & his cohorts are leading the most sustained boycott (TGT). That's a problem.

If, after hearing Epstein's and Diddy's survivors' accounts, you're still asking why women and young adults return to their abusers, I have to believe that either you don't understand the psychology of an abuser or that you're an abuser yourself.

Dearest Martha,

The National Guard stand solemn watch at the Krispy Kreme tonight. I cannot tell if they defend the people from the donuts, or the donuts from the people. Powdered sugar hangs in the air like cannon smoke. Jensen took a hot coffee to the face, he may never recover.

Yours in glaze,

The incessant desire to attract voters who haven't voted Democrat in 60 years is what always hurts the base of the Democratic Party. The cowardice shown in this post makes it clear that Tom Nichols and his ilk would do now what the GOP did to freedmen in 1875 and 1877.
It would be a huge step forward for Democrats and for general clarity in political writing if these terms went away. These came mostly from academic hothouses.

1/Veterans with mental & physical disabilities impacted by Trump's raid on the homeless in DC. How long before this impacts the morale of active duty servicemembers? The GOP enjoys a high level of support from active duty and retired military. Will they change their stance on the GOP?

Now that this BS Bill is law, I'm more disgusted at Schumer's failure this spring to let the GOP take responsibility for shutting down Medicaid so that the public could see how big of a failure MAGA policy is.

Contracting firms are offering $10k-20k less than the market value AND not offering health insurance or parking benefits. A lot of people are going to be hurt by this BS Bill that passed last week. It's going to be ugly. I mean 2008-2010 ugly. Get ready.

To do this in a downturning economy in which people are losing jobs and will not be able to afford COBRA. The Finding Out is going to be relentless.

For all of his issues, Hogg may have been right about this one: it's time for Clyburn to go. Not because of his age, but because we have moved on from Clinton-era policies that in hindsight, were adversarial to Black communities, especially re: criminal justice.
This is crazy. Will AOC weigh in on the Mayor’s race in Charleston? Enough with out-of-state national electeds weighing in on local races. It’s rude.

I don’t care who Bernie or Clyburn want to be Mayor of NYC. Mind your business.

March, but wake up Monday morning committed to flooding GOP House and Senate members with emails, phone calls, and letters. Pressure House and Senate Democrats to refuse to vote for ANY executive appointments or GOP legislation. Do not let up.
June 15, 2025 at 4:19 AM
In short, the answer to "What can we do?", is to spend the rest of this year with relentless emails, phone calls, requests for visitation, local town hall attendance, and local activism to put pressure on GOP House and Senate members. They are feckless and will bend if we apply pressure.
June 13, 2025 at 7:17 PM
If this POS bill doesn't wake people up, I don't know what will. And why the @democraticparty.bsky.social isn't running SM ads saying, "The GOP doesn't prioritize public and higher education. Of course their congressional members and staff don't read bills." is beyond me.

I cannot stress enough how much of a Def Con 1 moment this is. Federal judges fear that the President of the United States will stand down security for judges in retaliation for adverse decisions.

This is such a huge story.
This should be seen as evidence of the crisis: federal judges fear that Trump will order U.S. Marshals to stand down on securing the safety of judges whose decision they don’t like. This is just devastating.

Both parties ARE NOT the same. These men would be facing no accountability for what they did to Tyre Nichols if Pam Bondi had been AG.

Remember that the ofcr who shot Walter Scott in the back in N. Charleston is only in prison b/c of the federal prosecution. The state trial ended in a hung jury.
This is why we need a DOJ committed to civil rights prosecutions of brutal police ofcrs. These men were acquitted in state court today.
But b/c of the DOJ’s successful federal civil rights prosecution last year, they will be sentenced for federal crimes in June.

Would Bondi have prosecuted? No.
BREAKING: Three former Memphis police officers acquitted on all charges in the fatal beating of Tyre Nichols in 2023.
