New year, new elevators! 🛗 Two modernized elevators are now open at Parkchester station on the 6, as part of a larger project to improve accessibility at the station. Two additional ADA-compliant staircases and an accessible fare array are expected to open this year.

Say hello to our new modern fare gates! These gates are designed to improve accessibility, help deter fare evasion, and speed up entering/exiting a station.

We're testing several types of gates over the next few months with the goal of eventually adding them at 150 stations across all 5 boroughs.

Do you have a leftover MetroCard holding a balance? Transfer those balances to an OMNY Card at one of our Customer Service Centers in stations across the city.
