While we upgrade the OMNY system, you will not be able to buy or load OMNY Cards for some time this weekend (October 3-5).

The upgrade will begin on October 3 at 10 p.m. and is expected to be completed by Sunday, October 5.

The MTA Board has approved new fare changes and ticket policies for the LIRR, which will go into effect starting in 2026.

New record!

We surpassed a post-pandemic single-day ridership milestone on September 26, carrying over 300,000 riders on the railroad, many of them golf fans attending the Ryder Cup.

Over the course of the week, over 150,000 people traveled to the tournament on the railroad.

Make sure to access our terminal from the 1 Vanderbilt building, located at 48 E 43rd St, which will open at 4:30 am.

The larger Grand Central complex will open at 5:15 AM.

Take a look at the new Webster Avenue Bridge in Manhasset—safe, modern, and climate-resilient.

Our team recently completed work to replace the 128-year-old bridge, installing catch basins and a new drainage system, as well as rebuilt the adjacent roadway, sidewalks, and retaining walls.

The Ryder Cup is almost here!

We will have extra train service on the Ronkonkoma Branch and shuttle buses between Farmingdale and Bethpage Black.

You can also grab our special Ryder Cup event ticket for travel between any LIRR station from September 22 to 29.

LIRR service may shut down as early as September 18 if railroad unions go on strike.

Avoid nonessential travel and work from home, if possible. If you cannot telecommute, the MTA will provide limited shuttle bus service between certain LIRR stations to transfer points in Queens.
