Cold steel 3 is more like azure I feel in that you just have it availible but they’re still a bit too weak so far minus status effects feeling better again

Cold steel 1&2 is by far the most frustrating because the attack foods not only have status % nerfed (fair) but character availability. Oh my god it’s so annoying to actually cook them. They’re better damage wise again but the stuff wirh characters is just so frustrating

Azure has much early availiblility and I did use them a fair bit more but they should really get damage amp from the item quartz and again, the best ones are when Lloyd is already evading everything

Zero starts the trend of heavily nerfing attack food right at the start damage wise, and also just lowering the amount of them in the first place. The first useful one basically just hovers in midway where Lloyd is already killing everything

I really gotta get back to cold steel 3
I’ve been thinking abt sky again and I miss how good attack food was in sc. they really nailed it there and then semi pushed back in 3rd (mainly due to the games absurd drop system but they were still powerful) and then crossbell just vanished most of them

people very much overstated the impact of the patches and I’m a little concerned given that some of the bugs were certainly not something you’d commonly run into but some were softlocks or would lock you out of side content in the final act. It’s up to you

tbh the changes hardly matter in the grand scheme of things. The bosses it twrgeted were early game and not that frustrating. I think missing out on a lot of the bug fixes is a bad idea unless you’re looking to do some skips that only exist on pre patch (which as far as I’m aware isn’t a thint)

Yeah ofc! I love gamefaqs and love guides and review sites but I’ve become kind of jaded because even old sites I used either got too filled with ads or got horrible management with a lot of writers leaving. (Usually both) I used to like destructoid lol

I feel like new game + has kind of always been a sort of uncommon thing tho. Like it’s def turned into a post launch maybe thing for a lot of games but there were still a lot of games that just did not have new game + period
