Lots of inconsistencies (and idiotic incompetence) on why the CIA was used (and not the military) on the Venezuelan port drone strike.. now oddly & proudly announced by DT after the fact. Stories like Nolan’s below… call into question how humans draw such arbitrary lines between and among ourselves and the world. In service of culture, traditions, ideologies, and simply bad habits. Fuzzy dotted geographical lines, Nation, Language, cultural lines, all based on chance and evolution.
Woman comes to US at age 6. Graduates nursing school. Work permit. No criminal record. Snatched and imprisoned by ICE for 6 months now. About to be forced back to Honduras. A life destroyed and one less nurse. Merry Christmas.

Self driving, automated cars remains fascinating to many. But when Waymo vehicles blow past school buses as they have, society needs more than an apology and a temporary voluntary recall, saying “hey, no one died yet!!”. It’s too soon for widespread use, even acknowledging the “safety statistics”.
