I am proud that Sen. Van Hollen is my senator. He presented a logical, convincing case in his comments to the press.

Senator, you may have been born on third base - as your father declared - but you have stolen home all on your own. Bravo, sir. Much of our country owes you a profound debt of gratitude.

As always, the generic, collective "they" is an easy target to criticize. Works when generalizing about migrants, government employees, Blacks, Hispanics, gays, Jews, Muslims et al.. Why not with Democrats?
