I'm extremely sad to learn that the writer and illustrator Daniel Postgate has died. I spoke to him in 2015 when #Clangers returned to TV and he had some enchanting stories of growing up while his father Oliver's shows were being made. In electing a serious and fearless progressive, the College of Cardinals looks like pretty much the only electorate in the world that hasn't had its brains boiled by far right propaganda & toxic social media. For a Catholic of my generation, this is an almost unbelievable development.
