I started screen recording right away and never stopped. But for some reason the only part of the recording to save to my phone was 10:30 CST and beyond mark?? Like the whole first hour just isn’t there. Spooky as fuck.

It’s great! Even chapters are the guy growing up, odd ones are “present day” as he travels to and experiences capitalism (and brushes with socialism).
It’s a part of the Hainish Cycle, a loose series. No particular order to read them in they just take place in the same universe at different points.

I’ll always be gutted that Octavia Butler passed before completing her Earthseed series (Parable of the Sower, Parable of Talents).

The Dispossessed by Ursula K. LeGuin is also a fascinating look at a what growing up in a functional and established anarchist society could look like, and what happens when that person goes to a capitalistic society as an adult.
