My writing career started because @jrbolt.bsky.social shared an essay I wrote for a left wing website about The Twenty Days of Turin, which lead me to meeting @wolfbridge.bsky.social and @kittysneezes.com. That's both what I wanted and the only really good thing.

Unless you're a lone figure like Aaron Bushnell, non-violence is about long term symbol creation. You generally need to live as long as you can. You're not in the martyr business, you're engaging in a protracted propaganda war instead of a pointedly violent one

A someone who has written extensively about the eugenic roots that permeates those who claim to be building so-called artificial general intelligence, I'm here to tell you to please NOT compare criticism against corporations claiming to build a machine god, with eugenics. The audacity.

if you're writing a sentence that sounds like eugenics but you go "oh that's fine to say because it's not a real person" (whatever that means) you may want to consider what made you okay with saying that.

It's only really fascinating at an anthropological distance for me, but I've spent hours ingesting that stuff, maybe it's the weird informal economy that blooms off, it's probably just ADHD leading me on the primrose path

I genuinely don't want that to come across as crass, especially consider any band members who might have struggled. if anything, one of the things I find interesting about jam band culture is how much of it is relentlessly documented, and that might wind up insanely valuable one day.
