Here is a version his wife said I can share, where I've scrubbed their entire family's personal details for their privacy.

He grew, grew, grew, and grew. Grew up to be, yes, he grew up to be...this man called Bryan. Bryan didn't beat the family curse, leaving this world at 50, the morning of December 18, 2025. His first movie experience was Jaws. He grew up during the heyday of 80s cinema and affordable cassette soundtracks. Graduating (in the 90s) during one of the best music decades we'll ever know, he often thought, "I could use something to read. A nice quiet horror story,"...usually Stephen King. Bryan enlisted in the Air Force, taking advantage of the GI Bill by earning a Masters in Library and Information Services from OU, and served for twelve years. Bryan married (...in 2011). It was love, point of fact. (Page 2 of 4) He is survived by his wife, his children, granddaughter, parents, Grandmother J., Grandfather J., and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a lifetime of friends. He was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, beloved Grandmother, Grandfather, and dearest Uncle. He spent most of his working years in various government roles, except a few years of librarian and teacher positions. His free time was spent reading (a lot), wearing dorky costumes his wife made, watching movies, hosting movie clubs, and riffing movies. Much can be said of Bryan. He loved teaching his children about the "good" music of past decades and singing for his family...and the occasional intoxicated karaoke crowd. (Page 3 of 4) He was known for having "style for miles." His former students called him savage. A fellow movie riffer shared, "If I made a dumb joke, he always understood and came back better." Most of all, he believed in the Oxford comma, 90s R&B, showtunes, Goofy, hard shell Adidas, and his children. Always his children. This was no boating accident. Remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like this.. Events Hosted Visitation - Sunday, Dec. 21 Funeral Services - Monday, Dec. 22 After the funeral, the family will rent a local movie theater and watch one of his favorite movies together.
