Thanks 🤩

Hi, what’s that please?
December 20, 2025 at 8:19 AM
I wouldn’t want H2 in my home in any form, it’s caustic, odourless (and you can’t bind an odour to it) and very leaky.

My back up heat is a pair of wood burning stoves
December 19, 2025 at 7:42 PM
Because you aren’t a loon?
December 19, 2025 at 5:50 PM
Yes, yes you are.
December 19, 2025 at 5:48 PM
Thanks Glyn. Over the past 5 years my HP has been measured at SCOP 3.75, which isn’t bad for a 1980s house upt north.

Hi Glyn, love your work on YouTube. In your experience do you think that once a system is installed that its efficiency is pretty much set, or can other things be done post installation?
December 18, 2025 at 3:16 PM
Could be true. However because the drivetrain of EVs are so efficient, wind and rain affect fuel consumption much more visibly.
December 17, 2025 at 9:50 PM
I know, fancy investing so much in fuel free renewables that they need less coal…
December 17, 2025 at 9:45 PM
I drive from the north of England to the south of Spain and back twice a year in my low range EV van, I haven’t seen “there” on the way, so it’s not in England, France or Spain.

An the individualistic society in the US, they seem to think the slightest affront should be solved with a gunz
December 16, 2025 at 11:14 PM
The UK still has way less stabbings than the US per capita, Trump just likes to make up numbers. As the UK has free to use healthcare, the stats come from hospitals on who is actually stabbed.
December 16, 2025 at 11:12 PM
I read somewhere they are mandatory from 01 Jan 2026.

I have a couple of VW electric cars, in 2025 VW moved several features from the paid tier to the free tier, and then dropped the price of the paid tier too.
December 13, 2025 at 9:03 PM
You don’t want to be using pressurised hydrogen at home.
December 13, 2025 at 3:26 PM
Yes, some data centres use district heating as a cooling method, and in the UK there is a company that will put a small data centre in your house and you use the heat it generates for free.

I may buy a second hand one for a laugh
December 13, 2025 at 2:48 PM
Wow, it didn’t take long for those to be discounted! They’ve only been in the country 2 or 3 months.
December 13, 2025 at 8:32 AM
But considering how much they used to pay me to maintain them, I’d say they are still more expensive than solar to run.
December 11, 2025 at 1:32 PM
Nuclear is the most expensive electricity on earth, I used to design nuclear stations, the build and maintenance costs are eye watering.
December 11, 2025 at 11:55 AM
Americans confusing themselves with the whole world again. In the UK the government has set up a green national energy company, pulled nationally significant power projects to the front of the grid queue, invested in windfarm infrastructure and removed bans on green tech, all in 2025.
December 10, 2025 at 4:14 PM
The USA isn’t as important as it thinks it is, and is getting less relevant by the hour.
December 10, 2025 at 3:59 PM
You just keep coming here with lies, what’s the point?
