Beyond angry that I bought copperfit socks online. I've had them in my possession less than five minutes and discovered a pulled strand. I haven't a clue of how to fix this or if it affects the efficacy of the sock.

Federal workers help keep our communities strong, but anti-worker extremists are now using this government shutdown to illegally fire these dedicated workers. Our communities will pay the price.

Tell Congress: Respect workers and restore their jobs.
Tell Congress: Protect Federal Workers and Fund Public Services

I lost a darning/yarn needle on my bed and now I fear I will find it by being stabbed in the eye as I sleep.

I made this the other night while procrastinating, mainly because I thought all the posts about the blackout were boring. It feels like there is momentum bringing people together!

Because the administration has illegally eliminated USAID, AFSCME members in the USDA were notified of furloughs. Thanks to this extremism, people abroad will go hungry & American farmers will be left high & dry with no one to buy their crops.

Now is not the time for cowardice. You don’t back down because this administration is scarier. That’s what they want. You get smarter. You get more organized.

They want you to give up, lay down and shut up. It’s easier for them that way.

I'm eleven days into the recovery process after top surgery — I'm mentally ready to go back to work. This whole not being able to drive or lift anything over five pounds restriction blows. I am going to a Transgender Remembrance Day Vigil today though.
