Gathered yesterday before the rain arrived today. I have found a new spot to pose my flowers for the camera
A glass vase balanced on a painted wooden stool which has seen better days. The vase contains 4 rose blooms. Berry, Champagne, Sunset and Fond Memory. Cerise, cream orange and pink. Surprisingly this eclectic mix sit well together. The light on an outside covered deck and the sunshade blind behind the vase combine to show off the blooms nicely. The focus is sharp and the colours bright and true.

Chris Bishop is trying to change the regulations to allow cattle to graze in wetlands and allow quarry companies to dig up wetlands. Less than 10% of original wetlands remain in NZ. I think I know what Don McGlashan would say.

Blue Lake after Sunrise #photography #landscapes #NZ
A lakescape taken about an hour after sunrise. The far hills are reflected in a stretch of clear water lit by the morning light. The rest of the sky and hill tops are obscured by a blue grey mist. The lake aside from the reflected hills is a misty lilac blue. We spotted this chance scene travelling between sunrise and forrest shoots. It is easy to see how the blue lake got it's name
