My friends and I have been making an effort to hug goodbye or hello. I don’t think of myself as naturally physically affectionate, but it’s so comforting.

Standing on my porch with coffee (something I don’t do enough) this morning and a mourning dove landed on my fence to coo. Every spring since we moved here, we’ve play host to mourning dove nests and this might have been a prospective visitor scoping out our hanging baskets. I name them all Patsy.
