Right? Like several episodes were sequels to TOS episodes as well as many unused stories for the cancelled season 4!

Yes, the animation has its limitations, but the stories outshine them!

TAS is fantastic and very underrated. It's the final two years of the 5-year mission.
November 29, 2025 at 11:04 PM
Oh you're not bothering me at all! I would have to say DS9 is my all-time favorite. I love TOS as well. You?
November 29, 2025 at 11:01 PM
Yeah, the original trilogy will always be my favorite. I have both the original and special edition on VHS! My favorite would have to be Return of the Jedi, mainly due to the finality of the story and the inclusion of Endor. Love that planet!
I agree...Disney certainly exploited the franchise.
November 29, 2025 at 10:31 PM
Exactly...that's all we can do. 10 years is long enough for the Kurtzman era.
November 29, 2025 at 10:26 PM
I love Star Wars! Especially the Clone Wars. That being said, I'm not caught up on all the media they released since Disney took over. I love the first season of The Mandalorian as well as The Force Awakens, Rogue One but yeah that's all I can really recommend. I hear Andor is good. You?

If he was another character? Fine. If Discovery started in the 32nd century? Fine.

But sadly they trolled the audience into thinking his character was going to be John Harrison only to reveal him to be Khan in the film. Dumb.

Secret Hideout needs to leave the franchise for messing up so much.
November 29, 2025 at 9:52 PM
Good point. Granted Cumberbatch's Khan I'm not a fan of at all.

I do love Jaylah though, and had they made a fourth Kelvin film, it would have been nice to incorporate her into the crew. No one could replace Anton, and plus with it being an alternate reality, the crew of the 1701 could have a future with her.

I hate "Sabotage" with a passion thanks to this movie. It was used ok in 2009...but this was too much. Like they couldn't use another song? Lol WTF. JJ probably forced him
November 29, 2025 at 8:59 PM
It really is eventhough it was an improvement to Into Darkness. I loved the U.S.S. Franklin.
November 29, 2025 at 8:53 PM
I agree and then the whole thing with Kirk and motorcycle was pretty lame. It was simply put in to appeal to other action films like the Fast & Furious franchise due to director Justin Lin having experience with those films.
November 29, 2025 at 8:48 PM
Yeah it was pretty crazy. I didn't care for the swarm of ships at all.
November 29, 2025 at 10:18 AM
I despise Into Darkness with a passion. I didn't like the poor attempt to take from Star Trek II because none of it was earned. It was a "things you know" mess that was disappointing with the action was way over the substance. I thought Beyond was an improvement but I didn't care for the middle. You?
November 29, 2025 at 5:59 AM
I agree but I got over it as they needed a reason to pull Spock Prime and Nero in the Kelvin timeline. What pissed me off, was that Spock never tried returning to 2387, but I guess that would have meant he'd have to create another black hole...and who knows where that could lead to.
November 29, 2025 at 5:49 AM
Don't get me started on that, though I approve of them connecting Prime to the Kelvin rather than just erase Prime altogether; however the only thing I love about 2009 Trek is Nimoy's inclusion as Spock Prime from 2387.
November 29, 2025 at 5:44 AM
Yeah, they stopped once Discovery entered the 32nd century (season 3). I don't blame them. I'm glad they stuck with Picard as it takes place in an era I'm interested in.

Nice haha! Yeah, that's the smart way to go.
November 29, 2025 at 4:51 AM
Discovery should have started in the 32nd century as I would have no issue and might in fact have loved it. It's too bad I stopped watching Discovery after the first season but it's not Trek to me. They were Orcs..not Klingons...and it all just looked too advanced to me. ENT is much preferred.
November 29, 2025 at 4:44 AM
You and me both!
November 29, 2025 at 4:35 AM
Oh I know that for sure. I remember upon release I wasn't happy with it being a prequel (as I wanted to keep in the present timeline) (Nemesis was the last time we saw the 24th century until Picard). I don't buy Discovery for a SECOND!
November 29, 2025 at 4:34 AM
Absolutely! There is hope for the franchise. A new film is in development with no connection to the Kelvin timeline, which is good. However, there is speculation it will wipe the slate clean including canon. Not sure how I feel about wiping away 60 years of continuity, but we'll see. I'm optimistic.
November 29, 2025 at 4:31 AM
Oh no doubt. I'll take ENT over NuTrek A N Y D A Y !!!
