A coalition of writers, illustrators, editors & other book creators, standing united against the unconstitutional movement to limit the freedom to read. We support the availability of diverse voices in our libraries, in our schools, & in our culture. We pledge to band together against the oppression of literature, to speak when our voices are silenced, to go where our bodies are needed, & to fight to ensure this freedom.

Our concern is not only for the books, but for the children, families, educators,
librarians, & communities who suffer when the freedom to read is challenged and taken away.

WHAT CAN AABB OFFER YOU?
- Regional groups working on legislation to protect authors & the freedom to read state-by-state
- Online trainings on digital security, public speaking, & how to counter book challenges in your community

Miyazaki survived the bombing of Utsunomiya as a child. His family escaped in a car, but left a neighbor and her daughter behind to save themselves. Miyazaki regrets this, and said this has stayed with him and shaped his film making. He hopes his audience will learn the courage he lacked in 1945.

The printing style for this is exquisite in classical ways. Best way I can review this is that it made me feel the same way my fav short story by Gabriel Garcia Marquez ("El Rastro de tu Sangre en la Nieve") makes me feel and it has nothing to do with the fact they both have "snow" in the title.

I think they all have their good moments, but probably a tie between the ideation stage when you're putting an outline or summary together or that sweet moment mid writing a project where all the parts clicks and suddenly you're full steam ahead on the writing.
