Those premixed/canned Bacardi and coke should be exempt. Maybe we just need to ask our favourite bartender to “premix” our drinks.

There seems to be a long confusion. Paid HST on a pizza and couple of brews in one place. Also paid the tax on several canned vodka sodas my wife had at another place. Didn’t question or complain either time - everyone is trying to figure it all out.

The store in East Saint John’s redesign makes it hard to exit the store. You have to walk through the line of customers that are corralled up waiting for a cashier to be available and then squeeze though the tight space between two checkouts.

It has always been so easy to make such a deposit. I understand placing a hold on the funds, but a $300 processing fee seems unreasonable. It's not like they aren't posting record profits.

I don't disagree, but kids feel an awful amount of societal pressure to fit in and often end up participating in things that they would rather not. A social media ban would take one thing off their plates. Self-discipline can be fostered in other ways.

Friends and I once did a tour of “bars you never go to” in SJ. The rule was one drink per stop… from a glass. Fun times!
