I just asked a class of 13-year-olds what they thought of this. Most said that it was probably a good idea and were able to make convincing arguments in its support. My takeaway? The kids know that they need our help. A ban gives them an easy out when it comes to shutting down social media.

hmmm... asked a class that I am substituting in today to work on pages 73-75 of their textbook. I've lost count of how many have asked if they have to do page 74 too.

Not sure who needs to hear this but just because you can put your phone on speaker or place a video call doesn’t mean you have to… especially in public. Texting is a great feature too. Try it sometime.

Checking out this platform as an alternate to the one that shall not be named. The interface looks good, unwanted advertising hasn’t gained a foothold, users seem civil - so far, so good.
