California’s Central Valley. Sometimes I tell stories. She/her.
Adam Gray CA-13 is pathetically eager to be accepted by his GOP peers.

All his emails to constituents are about how “bipartisan” he is. Not one ounce of fight for Dem positions.

Hope he feels good about allying with the pro-pedophile party.

Adam Gray CA-13 barely squeaked out his seat and deludes himself that voting MAGA will sway GOP voters to him in 2026.

His campaign was largely soirees with power brokers. I would love to see a viable primary opponent.

Adam Gray is my congressman and this is exactly what I expected of him. Yes, I contacted him about not throwing away our healthcare. But I knew his favorite word, “bipartisan,” was a sign that he’s GOP-lite.

Merriam-Webster offers Quordle and Octordle daily, along with Blossom (similar to NYT Spelling Bee).

It’s very clear from the emails that nobody involved had any contact with the dictionary.

I was so naive to believe from 2016 forward that the NYT was selling out democracy for clicks. The world predicted by Neil Postman was *less* vile than the real motivations.

Tridle, Quordle, Octordle, Sedecordle, and Duotrigordle all come from sources that are not ethically compromised.

Serious Eats and Epicurious do better than NY Times Cooking.

A more mundane application would be peanut butter on a pretzel-style roll, with apricot jam.

Is this maybe why that one guy down the street from us sets off his car alarm daily?!?

I've been trying to figure out how someone manages to do it, but it's always after sunset or before sunrise, when I can't see what's happening over there.

As a lifelong Democrat who voted for Bill Clinton... I'm totally fine with him and large swaths of the "Dem establishment" going down with this ship.

Anyone who built their power network on the suffering of children deserves consequences.

When in fact, it was just that their spelling was atrocious.

The Independent (UK) is saying outright that it's the Andrew formerly known as Prince, in their coverage.

Every morning, our cats illustrate, through dance and song, how they tragically starved to death in the night.

An hour later, they insist that nobody remembered to feed them, despite the evidence of bowls with Fancy Feast scraps.

I have recurring settings, and the occasional “this event brings back an important memory,” when the memory is of a different dream. But I don’t have continuity as tight as yours.

It was literally a networking opportunity. Get together with other rich guys, have a few drinks, trade stock tips, sexually abuse teenagers.

That's the one consistent plot thread in the musical Chess, which otherwise can't decide on which geopolitics it's including, whether Florence gets a happy ending, or even who wins the final match.
