I started writing in grade school with a Star Trek play. I continued writing poetry and stories into adulthood. Very little came of it until I got serious three years ago. I published my first novel, Being Magi, earlier this year.

My reading goal is to finish the current book I am reading and then read another four. I have a list of what I want to read next, and I am going to try to stick to my list rather than let my reading eye wander!

Hi! I am Myles and I have been a reader since I could first hold a book. The only thing I ever wanted to do was write. After decades of sabotaging myself, I freed myself from that rubbish and started writing. I have not looked back!

I am immensely proud of Being Magic. That said, Seeing Magic is going to be even better. I have learned small libraries of things in writing both and am working as hard as I can to apply what I've learned in to Seeing Magic.

Here is a portrait photo that I took of Beethoven, our long-haired orange tabby, napping in a sun puddle. His golden fur holds light like autumn wheat, warm and soft in the morning stillness. With his face squished against the floor, whiskers reflecting, and fuzzy limbs stretched, he looks so peaceful and content. The shadowed black corner hutch on the left, and silver table on the right, create a monochrome backdrop that makes our gingerbread loaf all the more stunning and bright. Writing in general brings me life. I miss it if I don’t write something daily. Both of my current novels, Seeing Magic and Living Magic, bring me life. I am working on a meditation for writers course, and that gives me life, too.
