We are seeing in real time something horrible. I don't even quite know how to put into words the depth of dishonesty. Nothing this jagoff says is true. Is it hyperbole? Does he think it's true? Does he just not care? No matter the answer this is not how the United States should be "led."

For context, this is outside of the ICE facility in Portland the day Noem was in town. What is she going to say she saw? She was rude and dismissive of any Portland official she met with (I know, shocking). Thank you, PDX, for not giving them what they wanted.

Invoking the Insurrection Act for something that doesn’t exist should be grounds for removing him from office if the federal government was functioning. But it’s not, so it’ll make Portland ground zero. Will Oregon stand its ground? Or will it roll over?

Serious question: What's stopping the State of Illinois from arresting Stephen Miller & charging him with incitement?

The Senate didn't confirm him. He's just a guy.

At some point, the states MUST use their authority to prosecute, because the federal government certainly will not.

That said…we can’t get Amendments ratified. I have no clue how we could evolve the system described in the OP with our current situation. I fear the only way we get better is if we hit rock bottom. As bad as things are now we aren’t there yet. Yet.

Put a system of constant review and analysis in place as well. Staff it and fund it. We all know that maintenance is the first thing to go if it’s not someone’s first priority. Don’t lose it.

And maintain it!! This is not one and done. A document is really only good for that moment - it needs constant upkeep and validation. Ask anyone who has written a requirements doc, a test plan, or a how-to doc; systems evolve and a good document evolves right alongside.

💯 Tye number one issue is fixing all the holes. No more relying on “gentleman” understandings of procedure. Simple, clear rules that apply to everyone across the political spectrum with ways to make changes when new potential holes are found.

Ha! Both. 😂She was mid/coat blow when she got sick. When we picked her up she had floofs coming out all over. We need to get a couple pounds back on her, so working on that.

Had to resort to the old “throw it in the back of her mouth, hold her muzzle shut, and stroke her throat until she swallows” method. Took about six tries to get 3/4 of the pill down. I hate doing that. At least she doesn’t resent me for it. Yet.

And this morning she’s rejecting the flavored pills. I’m stuck between a dog highly in tune with her body who feels she doesn’t need these pills and medicine that says she does. Going to be a long three more weeks.

Umma found the beef/liver coated Vitamin K pills acceptable, so crisis averted for now. I have never understood why all dog pills don’t have this coating.
