Each day a bit better and each improvement sees another decoration go up. At this rate I’ll be done by 12th night 😜

been reading a book set in York in 1500s. My home town. I lived right in the centre and yet a pivotal location turns out to be somewhere I never visited even though it was about 2 streets from my house! I'd no idea it was there! I guess because it is part of the Univ. It just wasn't on my radar

I honestly wasn't sure I'd make it to Friday. Lowest ebb in about 20yrs. But here I am starting to recover, deo gratias. I've even made inroads into a book a friend kept telling me I would love if I just gave it a chance.

It's been a difficult week. Quietly, I am a prayer person. And one of those I asked to intercede was Pope Francis. Things are improving. He, and others have heard.
I might even get back to work tomorrow.
Happy 89th birthday el Papa.

And… The Dog & Bell for good measure. I’m struggling with my anxiety and other health issues at the moment. It was good to escape it all for the night.

Wonderful evening with the daughters watching the annual panto at the Master Shipwrights House in Deptford. And we bagged a sausage roll which is notoriously difficult 😜 hysterical, political and smutty. What more do you need.

I slept through several alarms, a belligerent cat and a flurry of emergency whatsapps about Cloudflare.
I'm begining to wonder if I'M powered by Cloudflare - would explain a lot!!

Yesterday? Beethoven's Eroica at St Martin in the Fields - which was nice. Today? Until the heating comes on I'm not stirring!

Utterly brilliant evening at work! Last night of ENO’s Dead Man Walking. Those 5 star reviews totally justified.

Brian doesn't like to use his voice. If he wants to be let out he just stares at me.Sometimes it takes me a while to notice . Lotte-aka-Dave screams like a banshee. But for food. She won't go outside. Mr Stanley Gibbons is already outside killing things.

Passed this on the way to work. most names were female politicians (of all eras) but not all. There were notable historical women such as Frida Kahlo and Anne Boleyn too.
No idea what it was all about. I should have asked but as usual I was running late...
