Yeah new Expedition 33 interview was out. The generated texture was just part of them experimenting with GenAI when it was brand new years ago when they were first starting working on the game. They didn’t like it, said “it felt wrong”, stopped using it, and a single texture from that got missed.

Strong, focused art direction will forever and always be more impactful and have more longevity than higher fidelity graphics.
It's one of the few absolute truths in the universe. Gotta do the work. The work will speak for itself.
