New favorite word alert: Portmanteau. A stiff bi-folding suitcase, also a neologistic blend of two words. Chortle (chuckle/snort), smog (smoke/ fog—duh), velcro (velvet/crochet), Pokémon (pocket/monster—you’re welcome, btw.), splatter (splash/patter)

Reading just got way more fun.
