When I went to the site today I started clicking from the top, and at least 75% of articles were paywalled, and most of those that weren’t were the “free” articles afaik
How many articles should I be able to read before I hit the paywall?

I agree, and I still think my original post is the most likely outcome for news output in future years.

It’s not particularly directed at you, or Verge, or this specific policy. Reading your post just underlined what I think is the most likely outcome for the current state of all news output. I have no beef with you Nilay. Probably the most business savvy thing to do would be paywall the entire Verge
