kinda goes with the bit in night watch about "you then was a twerp" tbh. & magrat's no twerp! but there's always a limit to what you can learn from other people (or from your time-traveling future self with an eyepatch)

know now’? But when you got older you found out that you now wasn’t you
then. You then was a twerp. You then was what you had to be to start out on
the rocky road of becoming you now, and one of the rocky patches on that
road was being a twerp.
A much better dream, one that’d ensure sounder sleep, was not to know
now what you didn’t know then.

so #as-designed #wont-fix??? i don't like this "the computer is designed to do it that way so we're not gonna do anything" excuse you get from software folks all the time. if what the computer does sucks, work on finding a better solution. i mean, mb it's the least bad right now
