There will be an increase in power costs for Big Tec, under Trumps new plan. Well we have lots of cheap hydro power here in Canada. Another reason to invade???
Or perhaps we can have our own data centers?

If America is able to overcome this madness. Then it has a chance to rise from the ashes even stronger. Let's hope.

Xi has no need to invade Taiwan now. Every country is now flocking to China as a stable and dependable replacement for the U.S. why on earth would he jeopardize a winning strategy.

Trump is not going to back down, but continue to escalate. The longer Americans wait to remove him from power the harder it will become. Then a dictatorship, then an invader, and finally a collapse at a horrendous cost to everybody. Canadaians, we still have some time to prepare, but not that much!

I like the way Canada is negotiating right now. With China they say let's do so much but if we can't renegotiate CUSMA we would love to do more. And the US knows exactly what we are doing, which will temper their demands.

We all know what is going to happen with ICE.
One of them is going to get shot, escalation ensues, another gets shot then martial law.

Given that the U.S. has gone batshit crazy. What, should we, as Canadians do to protect ourselves. NOW.
1. Set up volunteer 300,000 home guard.
2. Take all Federal and Provincial gov. departments off X.
3. Instruct military not to share intelligence with the US
Lots of other ideas. Yours?

It seems obvious to me that Trump is not going to back down. Only to escalate. So America is about to enter a period of extreem dislocation. Initially, with current Democrat leadership, there is little hope of prevailing.
A concerned Canadian.

What is the betting that Trump has reams of watermarked ballot papers stuffed in his bottom drawer.

If the regime falls in Iran. Watch the Chinese be first in line to offer reconstruction loans and expertise. Massive win for them.

Guns not butter. Sure looks like we are getting into a global arms race. Yikes.

The Democrats are going to have to play this whole "foreign adventure", thing carefully. A lot of Americans (some secretly) like the idea of siezing something for nothing. Better to switch focus back to Healthcare affordability and Epstien).
Hah.

Sometimes it only takes a small incident to start a civil war. Both sides keep escalating and before you know it BOOM.
please take care America.

This is what the goal is. Make no mistake about it. It was worked out by meetings between Putin trump and Xi.

With all the changes that are shortly coming to our society it's important that Canada develop a clear plan forward.
Who do we ally with?
Militarily.
Economically.
What economic advantages do we want to promote to survive in the new world?
Agricultural?
Extraction?
Robotics?

He was supposed to serve 10 years and pay $36 million in restitution for defrauding investors. Never served a day. Not Somali.

By pardoning all these con men and fraudsters, Trump is basically telling everybody that "you are on your own". No nanny state to protect you anymore. A licence for more shenanigans. Perhaps people are going to have to learn to be more careful who they trust.

It seems to me that the whole purpose of Zelinski's meeting at Mar a Largo was to delay the Trump administration from OPENLY siding with Russia. Not to sign some surrender/ "peace" plan.
Let's hope he succeeded.
