“This article looks interesting. Click…”

• Video ad covers the top third of the page
• More ads and links to unrelated crap are between every paragraph
• After two paragraphs the page reloads itself, and if you’re lucky it’ll be the same article.

This is why people don’t read the news.

Sometimes you don’t need to read the post to know the person’s an idiot.

Saw The Housemaid yesterday and was SHOCKED when the credits revealed that the hot husband character was not played by a Hemsworth.

Something I have long struggled with: Trying to not accidentally power on my laptop while I’m cleaning it.

Down to 138 pages on my spec. Wild that the first draft had a whole TV episode worth of stuff that ended up not mattering.

It rules that Vince Gilligan’s voice sounds like an 1850s gold prospector.

Now seated, in a brand new IMAX theater, for whatever everyone’s favorite Canadian hippie tech fetishist has cooked up this time.

Listening to a Magic podcast from 2021 where the hosts are very excited to talk about their new sponsor, a “great company” that’s “trustworthy” — FTX!

Oh, you sad, stupid fucks.

“Ah, another morning of work advertising living space for rent in Los Angeles. I just got done listing half a bedroom as a ‘co-living apartment’ on every rental site known to man. I’ll put up a few dozen more of these, then take my lunch break, during which I will eat a bowl of dicks.”

In 5-15 years when AI is doing more and more egregious stuff because the 5 trillionaires that control them are bored, people will be like “what could we have done to prevent this” and completely ignore the countless examples of people giving up their humanity because they’re too lazy to doodle
Anyone who supports this is an embarrassment. "Instead of typing it out they'll generate their idea"? Are you insane?

Call yourself whatever you want but you aren't creatives, that's for sure.

On the heels of the failure of big money pushes for NFTs, crypto, wearables, and the metaverse, it is absurd to hold the position of "AI is inevitable and we must learn to live with it."

It's also a craven position that suggests we shouldn't fight for what we value. We decide our own fates.

It’s annoying when I agree on something with a person who’s otherwise really stupid.

"placeholder text" "concept art" either the temporary thing you put in matters to the process, in which case you need to get a human to work on it, or it doesn't, in which case you can just as easily put a bright pink rectangle that says PLACEHOLDER in and save everyone time and effort

Reddit is great because someone will post a question like "Which of these $100 products is better?" and all the comments will be like "Neither, buy this $500 product instead."

It’s so cool that every website is just Like This now. We used to send guys to the chair for putting pop-up ads on their sites. Now if I want to read something I have to read single lines between autoplaying video ads that use so much RAM they force the browser to reload every 5 seconds.

TIME magazine is owned by Marc Benioff, owner of Salesforce, who literally ran an AI agents puff piece about his ow company in the magazine. I’m unsurprised he thinks a bunch of grifters are person of the year, he thinks they’re cool

Everyone hates this shit so much. It’s a bipartisan issue. AI sucks. It’s intrusive. It isn’t magical nor is it changing the world other than in the amount of money being wasted on it. Consumers are increasingly offended by its presence
"The most terrible time of the year"

McDonald’s pulls AI-generated Christmas advert in the Netherlands. The advert, titled "the most terrible time of the year," depicts Christmas chaos, with Santa caught in a traffic jam and a present-laden cyclist slipping in the snow
