Dutch news now reporting this Gaza demo in Amsterdam drew 250,000. If so, I think that makes it the biggest in the Netherlands since the anti-nuclear-missiles demo in 1981.

Red Line demonstration for Gaza in Amsterdam today is very big by Dutch standards. Museumplein packed and overfill, certainly tens of thousands. This is just people on the way, and it’s been like this for kilometers.

The small boats were the last to be intercepted and one, the Mikeno, appears to have got very close to Gaza, but it’s unclear what has happened to it as there are no comms.

The Global Sumud Flotilla heading for Gaza is due to enter Israeli-controlled waters tonight. The Italian naval ship accompanying them has offered to move anyone who wants to onto their ship before that. Italy has said once the flotilla enters Israeli-controlled waters, they cannot protect them.
