If this is true it's serious and there needs to be a reckoning. This isn't reporting the news, it's creating it. While I despise Fianna Fáil, if a newspaper waited until after their candidate couldn't be replaced to break a story, they're making a choice to influence the outcome of an election.

And are there countries that manage just fine without Ireland's level of exposure?

But fundamentally, there's a genocide going on. That should be the primary driver of foreign policy.

There are many criticisms you might sensibly and truthfully make of the Sentencing Council and the Sentencing Guidelines. I’ve been making them for years.
