Bluesky kinda ate the textures on my #alastor 1930’s catalog page, so hopefully these zoomed in screenshots will help you see some of them better. I didn’t spend all that time putting fine pinstripes on a suit and stitches on knitwear for them to all blur together 😂

人說出來的詞會反應看到的世界
文化裡缺乏的東西通常用詞就會變得不精確
我個人覺得對以前的人來說蛋、牛奶是奢侈品，台語很難區分較早出現的雞蛋糕跟蛋糕(cake)，所以就通稱為雞卵糕
中文世界(或者說台灣)比較沒有吃棉花糖或麵粉煎餅的習慣
所以Marshmallow 跟 Cotton candy
都統稱為棉花糖
Waffle 跟 Pancake 都稱為鬆餅
只是中性不帶有概念轉化的名詞倒是還好
當人開始習慣用物料這種支語來稱呼同好間的交流、粉絲的自發翻譯等等東西時，其實也側面反應了他們在把這些無形且無法標價的東西當成可量化的東西
