The thing about Y2K is that it actual was a very real problem, it’s just that before the clock struck midnight that A LOT of very hardworking computer people had put A LOT of time and dedication into preventing it from happening.

I think a combination of that and having a core of dudes who didn't get it done and were complacent. Same with the coaches.
