Word of the day is ‘matutolypea’: extreme grumpiness in the morning.

From the Latin ‘Matuta’, Roman goddess of the dawn, and the Greek ‘lype’, ‘grief’. Put them together and you get ‘morning grief’.

I will maintain this list for a few weeks if others want to tag people in the thread below that you think should be there, I will add them. There is a delay between new registrations and appearing in the search (when I can add).

New paper with @camillakgilmore.bsky.social now out at doi.org/10.1016/j.co.... A huge amount of blood, sweat and tears has gone into this paper (not to mention many, many hours of deep thought!) and I am so pleased it’s finally published. Summary to follow in the comments. 1/6

Surprising marmite based breakfast inspo! Having said that, I’ll likely stick with butter 😁
markhaselgrove.bsky.social
Got chatting yesterday to a person who dislikes butter. The conversation naturally moved to "what do you put on toast?" And the answer was "olive oil and marmite"

I'm too scared to try it on the basis of N=1. Any other case studies of this unlikely combo out there? I'm a marmite + butter chap.
