Each component of the 🍅 epidermis can play a role in the structure of the cuticle. As part of the ANR #Coplanar project, transformants targeting pigments (flavonoids, carotenoids) have been generated by the #FDFE team.

During the #ANR project 3C-fruit growth 🍅, we study the localization of CNR (cell number regulator) proteins. Here 2 of these proteins co-localize when expressed transiently in N. benthamiana 🌱🔬.

The 🍅 fruits of the West Virginia 106 cultivar are particularly well suited for endoreduplication studies due to their high synchronicity and homogeneity during cultivation. In our greenhouse in winter, it takes ~48 days to reach the red ripe stage and obtain a rather small 🍅 of ~2 cm in diameter.
