I just do not at all relate to folks already looking ahead. I am 44 and have seen two major sports championships. I can subsist on the joy of this title for a decade+. I am a success camel.

The Seahawks played the league MVP QB three times and went 2-1 including the NFC Championship Game. The cope is tough.

The Seahawks won the Super Bowl just before I felt like I had to start caring because it had been too long since they won their last one. I will Get Upset and Know Things around 2038 or so.

Absolutely. I was speaking in generalities but I do think specifically a prospect like Anderson (at or near MLB-ready) is basically untouchable for a contending team like Seattle. bsky.app/profile/wlof...
I think I want the Mariners to hang onto Anderson, Emerson, and Sloan, as those guys seem to have at least everyday player/mid rotation starter qualities that are still super valuable. The rest, I wouldn't mind if they are traded.

Philosophically I think it’s highly likely the best use of any non-elite prospect is to trade for established MLB talent, and since Seattle has many good prospects but no elite ones, that would be my preferred path.
