Calgary Coun. Atkinson said “Putting investments into how folks move around in our city, I think, is actually one of the biggest roles of city hall. We want people to move around safely.” Halifax mayor seems only to care about how vehicles move around. 😢 Some HRM coun. do care about safety for all.

I call BS on Beaton's comment that "the government has a suite of programs across various departments aimed at addressing poverty and cost-of-living pressures". I suppose he's referring to something like NS's Poverty Reduction Credit...a whopping $125/quarterly or $41.66/month. A cruel joke.

I live in Halifax and I've never heard of this here. It's a great idea. But I don't think there's one in Halifax.

There is NO way I want my medical info on an app! I've already had my personal information stolen through the NS Gov as well as two other organizations. No way! And how long do you think it's going to be before insurance companies are insisting on having online access to this data?

Let's take it back to '85.

You express HRM's sentiment towards pedestrians quite well.

Yikes!

I wonder why I have no say in how MY personal health info is stored. I've had my personal data stolen 3 times already, once through the NS Govt, this makes me feel very uncomfortable. I also wonder how long it will be before insurance co are demanding access to these files before giving coverage.

It's a grave misconception if you think people over 60 aren't suffering in this housing crisis. Perhaps you know seniors who own their homes and "appear to be" living a comfortable life. There are also a large number suffering and stressing daily about survival and housing.

Looking at that just makes me hungry. What my mind sees when I look at that image is a whole lot of Lindt chocolate truffles! 🤤😃

Beautiful and peaceful shot. Looking at it one would think it was a warm summer day but it was far from it. Chilly, but still nice.

That is very pretty! Great shot.

These politicians work for their corporate friends not for average Nova Scotians. Poverty doesn't even register on their radar.

Six years in prison is NOT long enough for a person who sexually abuses someone, least of all for someone who SAs a 4 year old child!

The squirrel has quite a following. Last week when I was in Frog Pond there were about a dozen people gathered around watching it. (Apparently there are 2 white squirrels in Frog Pond? I've only seen one which is always in the same area.) Yes many people putting out seed. Lots more birds as a result
