Yes. There was, no doubt, some fucking awful shit in the charts in 1966 as well.

I keep getting old smash hits singles review pages chucked at me on FB and far as I can tell, it was an eighties problem as well.

Maybe it's an always problem. Mind you, check out 1966

I see the "still trying to be less wrong" is going well.

Have never thought of that, and I'm not one to get into the whole vinyl fetish BUT yes, I can only imagine that the warmth of the production would only be enhanced.

There is a lovely sound to this.

The whole thing is perfect Jonny 🙂; even Skin Feeling in an 'Even The White Album Needed the Odd Turkey to Make The Rest Shine' sort of way.

Gang of us went to That London on a school tour in the eighties and delighted in talking in Irish on the tube thinking "ha this will annoy people" and not realizing that it was true.

(Such was Irish educational system we could just about manage the Hail Mary, but look, Sean, sorry about all this)

Fine review, Carl. Almost as much love in this review as there was in the show itself.

See, right, i want to agree, but then i see this Grade A bootlicking fuckery, and i'm like, rather like driving without insurance, you don't get the benefit of the doubt for this shitwittage.

I have, on more than one occasion, (drink *may* have been consumed) made the case that Orson Welles' finest contribution to motion picture history is his role in the Muppet Movie.

I am dreadful company, obviously.

You can never go back. We can't replicate the 70's experience but i've just watched Grammy, Oscar and Emmy winner Peter Ustinov make a complete eejit of himself in a 1976 episode and it is my fervent hope that today, PRs will let their clients Go Full Sabrina.
