Ohhh I saw some of them in Cape Town, but did not go swimming with them! Very cute but yes so smelly. 😆

THE most wet dog smell!! Wet dog and fish. Truly an olfactory experience to remember (and never repeat if I can avoid it... though the baby seals were very cute).

Did you see the seals in water or on land? I got such a shock the first time I went from "oh look a seal in the distance!" (a cool thing that happens in Sweden) to getting close to an entire seal colony... 😆

Yeah, I don't remember anything about that until I got much older. I do remember the fall of the Berlin Wall very clearly though! And I was writing little elementary school reports on apartheid when I was like... 8? (We had South African friends; I wasn't regularly reading the news at that age!)
