For VidUKon's GPOY (here something like "show us a vid that is very you") Premiere, I vidded a city:

Kyoto.

The city of my memories, and the city (real and imagined) as it has been portrayed by animators across 22 different sources from various genres.

One more for today's #BlueSkyArtShow theme #glow

This is the first completed piece in a new series that I'm painting. I'll be releasing new work from this series around the 2025 winter solstice.

Original seascape oil painting by Tisha Mark, "Lighting the Dark" 20"x20" oil on linen (2025). This moody, abstract-leaning seascape painting has a textured, orange-toned, atmospheric sky with textured colors of light on the horizon. Light from the sky reflects in the water below as it meets a dark, rocky, tree-lined coast.

We report on this mild October night: if the planes went somewhere nice, the sky forgot where exactly a while ago. The breeze has methodically swept over their paths again and again so that none of them make sense, and the contrails have become new kinds of clouds by now.
Digital painting of a sunset sky, a gradient of blue to orange with a variety of clouds spread over the whole frame. Long, flat, and dark grey in the lower third, bright, orange, squiggly lines in the middle, and grey and fuzzy at the top.

I also just finished it, and loved it so much!

Thanks Ysa. *hugs and sighs*

Fingers crossed she continues to be in good spirits!

Hahahaha yeah things are going GREAT (I mean I'm mostly sarcastic but otoh I did get to go home and spend tonight and tomorrow with my husband and the kitties so it's not ALL bad). 🫂

I did the speedrun but have been getting all the bad outcomes and like... None of the good ones? 😅 I guess it was good that my last hernia didn't pinch my gut? And that this stoma isn't in the wrong place?? But yeah otherwise I keep failing at making the good options work...
naye.bsky.social
Yeah that was good to wake up to! (I was very dopey and basically didn't remember why I'd been under, but I knew I was relieved it was only an hour or so after they sedated me.) 🫂

At least I didn't need emergency surgery for the OTHER thing that happened today! But yeah it sounds like I'm in an untenable situation that can once again only be fixed with scalpels. This was not what I expected when I got my UC but here I am!

Haha yeah I'm not sure what's safe either at this point! Thank you for the vibes. 💕

Bodies are meeeean.

... my abdominal tissue is so shit, in fact, that one of the doctors I saw today asked if I have EDS. Which I don't think I have?? But apparently that doctor looked at what my body has been doing (she was the one who fixed me 3 weeks ago) and was like "that's not normal". 😅

Frith I am having the shittiest possible luck and I am very tired of it.

THIS this is so valid and also how I do things. It's the only way to have a good time!
naye.bsky.social
...now WHY did I say that.

Because. See. Today I was allowed on leave but only until Monday when the regular doctors will tell me I need hernia surgery ASAP.

Also today: left the hospital; stoma did A New Thing (bad); went back to the hospital. But now it's OK(ish) and I can go home! #NayeHealth

Yes it was VERY nice not to need unplanned immediate emergency surgery that would fuck up my future planned surgery! Scary times but fortunately the morphine helped both with the pain and the anxiety...

Yessss what a fun idea! I hope they go for it!

I'm so relieved to hear the situation seems to be under control!
