Comics strips of the world, unite! The Daily Worker's longest-running comic strip, "Little Lefty" (created by staff cartoonist Maurice del Bourgo under the pen name Del), first appeared on October 8, 1934. Here are the first two strips—the second with cameos by popular comics characters of the day.

In my dream

In my dream the end is coming and before we leave I am going through my books to find some blank sketchbooks . Rain begins. The intersections empty.

Damn. This is amazing. £325 per week, paid monthly, for 3 years - and the result was a profit for the Irish economy:

Post from Threads user rodneyowl: "Ireland has declared the Basic Income for Artists scheme permanent. This will be officially announced in tomorrow’s budget. Details to follow. Congratulations to all who fought for it and the present and future artists of all sorts in Ireland. That includes me 👌We’re just comin to the end of a 3 year pilot scheme. It’s been a roaring success. For every €1 paid out to the 2000 participants, the government got €1.46 back. Can’t argue with that. Other countries are already taking note."

In my dream

In my dream the complex is dark and sprawling and filled with sexual activity of all kinds. Most people are naked as they cruise through the aging plaster rooms stocked with cast off furniture.

I had a chance to visit @naylandblake.bsky.social’s retrospective, Sex in the 90s, over the weekend. Awesome show. The passage of 3+ decades for many of the pieces lends perspective. Photos of my favorite pieces from the show from Matthew Marks Gallery cause I managed to flubbed my pics. #nyc #art
