My representative should be on tv showing clips of this shit to everyone every fucking night until this bullshit ends. We are being fucking abandoned by our state and federal representatives.
Today at 34 & Park in Minneapolis, a woman tried to drive down the street where a protest had broken out in front of a home ICE was raiding, saying she had a doctor apt to get to. ICE agents busted out her windows, cut off her seatbelt, and pulled her out before arresting her.

I think this is basically true and would say, corollary to that: dismantling the right‘s project of power will necessarily involve taking on the interests of entrenched capital. All the key good governance stuff needs to happen— scotus, VRA, etc— but the billionaire influence problem looms bigly

A pretextual investigation of Powell is next level. ICE is gunning people down in the street. Can we get to the part where we say Trump is decompensating, losing his mind, and going way too far, and we've reached the "have you no decency" rubicon. The people are with you! Courage, Chuck!

We, the people, deserve elected officials that actually *try* to use the power they've been entrusted with. Calling for massive, organized, peaceful protest is the only way we're getting out of this boondoggle. Every elected D should be calling for exactly that at the top of their lungs.

the trauma of 2020, where Minneapolitans got a front-row seat to a police murder and a DA who didn't even want to charge Chauvin!

So I think what Frey and O'Hara are doing reasonably well, to give a modicum of credit, is not to piss on the city's leg and say it's raining. /con'td

We’ve had these great glimpses! I wish Shane Black was more prolific or Gerwig wanted to crank out more comedies. Could see him being a dumb goof w/ Soderbergh or in a Knives Out movie. Or if PTA or the Safdies had the right project
