CANES were also in with the Cannucks involving Miller and Peterson. Ultimately they chose Rantanen. If you had told me 5 years ago that this organization would be "seriously" involved in deals like this I would have laughed. The "We like our group" gang is gone. Tulsky isn't afraid to go for it!

As far as Hall, time will tell how much he has left, but there is no question that he's going to contribute more offense to this team than Drury. The question is whether they can replace the intangibles that Jack brought. I think so. Biggest loss from him will be in the circle. Led the team in FO %

No one questions Necas's insane talent. but he's always been inconsistent and he's a turnover machine. He often gets a little too cute with the puck. As far as UFA Rantanen, we will see what happens. The Canes will have the money this off-season to pay him. Hopefully Aho can persuade him to sign.

That's so cool. What's the name of his band? I will go check them out. I just saw Archers again a couple of years ago. They had just released their first album in years. Really good album and they still sound great live

Great stuff. If you have Superchunk on there, then you HAVE to add some Archers of Loaf. Something like Web in Front, Wrong, or Audiowhore. It's more of that mid 90s Chapel Hill vibe. Then throw in some Ben Folds Five to top it off. I gotta stop, because I'm getting too many warm fuzzy flashbacks
