LA County’s incompetent use of their emergency alerts has been wild to observe. I just got this and we’re nowhere near an active evacuation zone. Had I not already been following the situation closely this would have scared the shit out of me.

Sending erroneous emergency alerts to people miles from actual danger is surely going to help improve the public’s trust when an actual emergency is present
