It’s not just here. I pointed out on Reddit that deciding that some people aren’t worthy of life makes us just as bad as what they accuse UnitedHealth of… and was rapidly downvoted. This is a concerning trend.

James Bond and his gadgets were around back then. That’s almost certainly the reference.

My wife and I were born 3 1/2 hours apart in the middle of the day. If we’d been born on the same continent, we’d share a birthday. We weren’t, so I’m a day older than her.

Just added it to my wishlist. Thanks!

I knew I wanted a tone like this for Superman, but to actually see it was something else.

I saw this movie on TV when I was about ten and it’s stuck with me ever since. Great film!

This is a really smart move, actually. If Trump sees Musk as a threat to him being the top dog, it will spell doom for that relationship. It would be great if this would catch on.

The idea that they had more pressing concerns that seeing the northern victory of the Civil War to its end is just crazy to me. I’d even argue you can trace the DNA our current political situation to this failure.

US History teacher here. Explaining how Congress just lost the will to continue Reconstruction and took the out offered by the Comp. of 1877 is always a thing that feels shocking to me when we cover it.

That’s a solid trio!

One thing I’ll say for James is that he consistently nails the tone he’s going for. I get what you’re saying, but I’m confident he know that Superman isn’t Guardians or the Suicide Squad. I’m sure he’ll have a few solid gags, but am excited for a hopeful film here.

YES! The real world is providing us with enough grimdark. I don’t need it invading my escapist entertainment, too. There’s a place for that, but it’s not Superman.

I’m really excited about the potential for a hopeful, colorful Superman film. This should be fun!

It’s not living in a bubble to avoid promoting a platform owned by someone promoting and embodying the worst of a political ideology.

And? Don’t leave us in suspense!

I really don’t. I encourage them to engage in follow up questions before answering. It’s not a “give me an answer now” situation - any time this happens it’s part of a wider conversation. Most don’t follow up, though, & shoot from the hip.

If only the Dems knew how to highlight and celebrate their accomplishments for the public.

That’ll teach you.

Social studies teacher here. One of my favorite things to do is to ask students if the agree with Biden that _________. When they agree or disagree, I’ll tell them it’s actually a Trump position. A majority of them will immediately backpedal every time.

I disagree. I find almost all of them to be fair and clever. When it isn’t fair, though, it’s because it’s dependent on niche cultural knowledge that probably doesn’t feel niche to the authors.

Personally, I’m dumbfounded that either of them ever was considered a hero by anyone. Who are we any more?

Can’t believe I misspelled “their.”
