1. Latin is still exceptionally relevant
2. Everyone should have a chance to study it
3. Sitwell imagines a world of soulless worker bees who are allowed no interests

It's a bit late, but I'm working on translating the Song of Korean Independence Army in Ritumēc, as today (March 1st) is the 106th anniversary of the Korean Independence Movement day. However, due to several limitations I'm facing, the translation will not be in the form of lyrics.

English is indeed a crazy language that became a lingua franca out of all odds. Though, to be fair, every language has its own "rabbithole," where you go through a spiral of lores on why the language works that way and end up frying your own brain. I'd like to see how this lassie reacts to Finnish.

역시 다중 계정 운용은 쉽지 않구만. 뭐, 여기 올린 게시물이 거의 없다시피 한데, 현재는 만들고 있던 콘랭에 전반적으로 다소 큰 규모의 수정을 가하고 있습니다.

Managing multiple accounts is not easy, as I've worried. Welp, even though I haven't really uploaded anything here, I am currently making quite a massive revision on my conlang.

Journal website with article title and abstract: Every day, officers working at international airports investigate potential risks to state safety and security. But how do they decide who they can trust, and also ensure that the broader public trusts them to conduct this work? This article explores these questions through an examination of the reality television show Border Security: Australia's Front Line. Through critical discourse analysis of a collection of 108 televised airport encounters, we explore the aspects of communication, behaviour, and identity made salient in officers’ evaluations of passengers’ credibility and critically examine the assumptions underlying them. Further, we consider how power and role divisions are implicated in the construction of passenger and officer credibility, both within border encounters and in discourses about them. Our analysis makes a novel contribution to the literature on credibility assessments in intercultural communication, demonstrating how an institutional and social ‘culture of disbelief’ is constructed vis-à-vis certain groups through seemingly banal border work.

Using the ancient Greek and Roman symbols, the heliocentric solar system has the following planets: Mercury (the fleet-footed messenger with his serpents and staff, the caduceus), Venus (goddess of beauty - the mirror, like an ankh), Earth (4 cardinal directions), Mars (spear and shield), Jupiter (thunderbolt) and Saturn (the scythe of Time). The outer planets had yet to be discovered. Beyond Saturn, he envisioned the sphere of the "fixed stars".
